Alkhidmat’s Rs368.84 million Ramadan Relief Reaches 481,562 Across KP

During Ramadan 2026, Alkhidmat Foundation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa carried out a wide-ranging relief campaign across the province, with total Ramadan assistance reaching Rs368.84 million and 481,562 beneficiaries served. The welfare initiatives were aimed at supporting low-income families, patients and other vulnerable groups in urban and remote districts alike.

The organization distributed more than 15,000 food packages, including flour, cooking oil, rice, pulses and other essential items, to households identified as poor or in need. In addition, 29,693 people were served meals through its Iftar Dastarkhwan program, while cooked food packs were provided to thousand of roadside workers and travelers.

Cash assistance also formed part of the campaign. A total of Rs7,866,244 was distributed as Zakat-ul-Fitr to eligible recipients.

Through its Ramadan Sasta Tandoor project, the foundation operated 28 subsidized tandoors across the province, supplying 599,062 pieces of bread. Meat distribution efforts included 16,146 kilograms of mutton, with an expenditure of Rs32.29 million.

Orphan care remained a central focus. A total of 908 orphaned children received Eid gifts, while 2,772 were given Eid cash assistance. Another 151 children received Ramadan ration packages. In addition, 67 Iftar dinners were organized for orphaned children, and 1,700 were provided with meat during the month. In several districts, orphan children were taken to shopping centers to purchase Eid items of their own choosing.

Iftar gatherings were also held at Aghosh Alkhidmat Homes, where members of the community joined children for meals and spent time with them.

The foundation extended support to displaced families and residents affected by harsh weather conditions in Tirah, Khyber district. Assistance included cooked meals, ration supplies, health services, clean water, winter packages and winter clothing.

Healthcare initiatives continued throughout the month. More than 1,120 patients at Alkhidmat hospitals received daily Iftar meals while Alkhidmat Mobile Health Units provided free medical checkups, laboratory tests and medicines in multiple districts.

Children with thalassemia, registered at Alkhidmat Thalassemia Centers, were also included in the outreach. More than 130 children received Eid clothing, shoes and Eid cash.

Support was extended to students and street children as well. The organization distributed Eid gifts and cash to 763 individuals in this category, arranged Iftar meals and provided meat to more than 460 children.

More than 15,000 Alkhidmat volunteers took part in these efforts, assisting with food distribution, meal preparation, healthcare services and event coordination throughout the province.
