Alkhidmat Foundation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa launched a province-wide tree plantation drive, inaugurating the campaign by planting saplings at FATA University Darra Adam Khel, Kohat to promote environmental awareness and sustainability.

The initiative was formally kicked off by Khalid Waqas, President Alkhidmat Foundation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, alongside Prof. Dr. Mohsin Nawaz, Vice-Chancellor FATA University, and Justice (R) Asadullah Khan Chamkani, Head of the Election Tribunal and Syndicate Member. They planted saplings at the university campus to mark the start of the campaign.

The ceremony was attended by Shah Zaman Durrani, Director Alkhidmat Volunteer Management Department, faculty members, students, and representatives from the Forest Department.

Speakers highlighted the critical role of trees in combating challenges such as rising pollution, increasing temperatures, and climate change. They noted that trees not only help purify the environment but also play a key role in human health, soil balance, and the preservation of natural resources.
